Yamal-Nenets regional Museum and exhibition complex named after. I. S. Shemanovsky

State institution "Yamalo-Nenets district Museum and exhibition complex. I. S. Shemanovsky" established in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district No. 292 dated 11 October 2002. The institution is the legal successor of the state institution "the Yamal-Nenets regional Museum of local lore. I. S. Shemanovsky" and public institution "Exhibition centre".

The Museum-exhibition complex. I. S. Shemanovsky repository of rarities, the center of spiritual life of the region, based on the concentrated in it the values of history and culture has a special role. The integration of research, outreach and educational activities, enrichment of the content and forms of work paves deep qualitative changes in its infrastructure.

The strategy of activities and development of ERM as a multi-cultural center is that along with traditional Museum work here established cultural and recreational function, involving several areas of the revitalization of the visitor: the holding of mass rallies, industrial, artistic, presentation and thematic exhibitions, lectures, holidays, festivals.

The complex is equipped with the most modern equipment, engineering services requirements. Today, ERM is becoming more and more a symbol is a reflection of the capital of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district and the region, combining the depth of a "collective memory" and an instantaneous response to the demands of today.
