The history of the project NASD
On December 13, 2006 - there was the signing of the Memorandum "On participation in the preservation of collections of historical records of indigenous languages of the North of the phonogram archive of the Pushkin House", the Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous region Yury V. Neyelov and Director of the St. Petersburg scientific centre of RAS, academician Z. I. Alferov, during the official visit of the delegation of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district in St. Petersburg.
In 2007, an expert group consisting of experts IRLI (Pushkin House), Russian Academy of Sciences, the Mission of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district, MVK them. I. S. Shemanovsky, Publishers of electronic information resources RusAR formulated the concept of building on the basis of the phonogram archive of the Institute of the Russian literature (Pushkin House), Russian Academy of Sciences, National electronic sound of the Depositary for the purpose of preserving and providing access to digital audio collections of the peoples of Russia. The first part of the project was the creation of technical, technological and organizational infrastructure of the National e sound of the Depositary and digitizing audio collections of the peoples of the North.
The leadership of the YNAO was decided on the financing of major national innovative project in the field of science, culture and education. Part of the Yamal-Nenets region in this project is not only to help such an important and renowned institution as the Pushkin House, but also in providing opportunities and communities in the County to benefit from the unique sound materials stored in the Pushkin house.
2008 - implementation of a national Electronic audio Depositary.
Aims and objectives of the draft national electronic audio Depositary:
the creation of the national center for digitization, storage and access to the audio heritage of the peoples of Russia, its inclusion in scientific, cultural and educational turnover of the country and the world on the basis of modern information technologies;
the creation of a distributed structure NASD on the basis of Russian and foreign sound archives;
a full scientific description of sound collections and accession to digitized archival materials and documents, information about the time and place of the record or expeditions, bibliographic information and related materials.
Opportunities base ON ASTRA.SOUND:
providing remote access to e-audio collections;
efficient search by metadata, service information and a full text search on the identified electronic versions of supporting documents;
the metadata exchange with other information systems using standard communication protocols;
system support Virtual reading rooms with managing the user's access rights and control the use of electronic resources;
providing the possibility of simultaneous work of many users with the same electronic copy of the material;
modular expandability of the system.
The format of machine-readable descriptions of recordings reflects the basic parameters:
technical characteristics media;
technical and technological characteristics of the records;
linguistic and genre characteristics;
characteristics of the content;
the binding to the territory of a nation, the existence of collected folklore material, geography research;
personal information about the artists, collectors, researchers;
information about the various scientific expeditions institutions relevant issues of research with the subject of this project;

the data on the availability of copies;
service and technological information.
